About VB Tiki Tours
VB Tiki Tours enters our 4th season as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in Virginia Beach, VA established in 2023. Owner and Captain Tory Hegrenes was inspired to bring paradise to Virginia Beach after living in Key West, FL and seeing tiki boat tours all day long. He is a combat veteran and flew F-14 Tomcats and FA-18 Super Hornets in the Navy. He retired after serving 20 years. He has a passion for small business and bringing paradise to the local area on “Rum Shaker.” He is a USCG Merchant Mariner Credentialed Master Captain.
The Rum Shaker
The custom built “Rum Shaker” (the upgrade from our original vessel) is unlike any other boat you will see locally. The 26 foot long tiki themed vessel with two Mercury 60 Horse Power engines is significantly upgraded from our original vessel to travel the waterways of the Lynnhaven Basin and Broad Bay. It has a 360 degree open air view with a restroom and the finest tiki wood bar and rails. We have coolers for ice and drinks in addition to our Bluetooth sound system with subwoofer all surrounded by a tiki thatched roof and tiki decor. The vessel will have a Certificate of Inspection in April 2026 to support more than 6 passengers.

About Captain Ben
Captain Ben is in his 4th year at VB Tiki Tours. An experienced waterman with more than 25 years including serving as a sworn officer with the Chesapeake Police and volunteer for Virginia Beach EMS. Captain Ben loves being on the water and is a very experienced scuba diver. He is a USCG Merchant Mariner credentialed Master Captain.
About Captain Ron
Captain Ron is back for his 4th season and brings years of experience to VB Tiki Tours. In addition to being a Navy Submarine Officer, he 'Captained' numerous other boats in the local area. Ron brings great local knowledge and is a welcome addition to the helm of "Rum Shaker." He is a USCG Merchant Mariner credentialed Master Captain.
About Captain Taylor
Captain Taylor continues on in season 4 of VB Tiki Tours and has a passion for the water and tiki cruises. A recently retired Navy fighter pilot and Commander, he brings his years of experience on the water from Key West and locally in Virginia Beach to your tiki experience. He is a USCG Merchant Mariner credentialed Master Captain.
Your Yoga Instructor
We are excited to partner with Jennifer Wolfe, a certified yoga instructor, who will guide you through an approximate 60 minute yoga practice while cruising the tranquil Long Creek. We have yoga mats (feel free to bring your own), sensual music and fused water to make your weekend morning start off just right. The remaining cruise is for your group to enjoy drinks and food of your choice. Namaste.
